The SOTP mod for SOTER with the halo universe map gives you an idea of how big the human covent war because the map has a lot of major planets and locations in the halo universe with its some what accurate location and each team has a very important location as a starting point such as earth and high charity that map give you an idea how large the war was and how hard the war was for humanity

i think, we will see mendicant bias in halo 6 because we saw a gardian who isnt like other, and it seems attached (on the E3 trailer 2013). and he would help master chief because he saw redemption on him and want to be pardon for his sins. I think cortana is corrupted by the flood like he was before her. With his knowledge of the flood, i'm sure he would show how to destroy it definitly.
