I never minded the fact it was just sized up. Because of its immense size, I assumed the Covies just went with a design that was already proven effective.

Pretty sure it's stated in halo lore that The Covenant’s science is imitative rather then innovative so that would make sense for it to look the same as the smaller ones.

I didn't really have a problem with it not having a 'unique' design it's just a representation of their culture or perhaps their military likes formality within their fleets so they know whos who in space battles not to mention the fact its 29km in length makes it special already.

If they ever do a halo reach anniversary edition, would you be against them redesigning the ship since it’s already basically cannon that it’s just a bigger version of the other ship or would you be open to it

Imagine being a grunt on that super carrier. Youre stationed at the head of the ship and you need to pee, but the only available toilet is at the tail end of the super carrier

Wasn't there another covenant ship that was under construction in a shipyard that was closer to 40 km, or am I getting the measurements wrong? That early on in the Spartan II's careers they discovered it and proceeded to destroy it?

Mass production keep it the same design but bigger simple effective and fast. Completely reasonable and practical.

Playing through the Halo series for the first time I got CAS and CSO ships confused all the time, still do to this day.

When it comes to the CSO's design
I didnt care it used the same frame as the CAS
but bungie could have atleast scaled down the lights an windows to make it seem like it isnt just an upscaled CSO

This also happens with the CCS class Battlecruiser in the original trilogy and the CRS class Lightcruiser in Halo 4.

I honestly never new the CSO and CAS were different for a long time because they were essentially the same ship, just bigger.

Spartans destroyed another CSO in Silent Storm and the Banished in Shadows of Reach have a CSO also
