SCP-087 was the first SCP I ever saw/read, and I think it was the origin of my interest in horror as a genre. Cool that its been made into a minecraft map.

In the SCP foundation lore, the D class personnel are death row prisoners. They are offered to be subject to the experiments in exchange for not death row or something like that

for a quick introduction to SCP : SCP means Secure Contain and Protect. The foundation's objective is to contain anomalities and hide them to public. Those anomalities may be creatures, locations, objects, whatever. They are categorized by a colour and a name depending on their threat level and ease of containment. Usually, for dangerous anomalities they use d-class people, death row prisonners who are offered absolution if they survive the experiments. The staircase is one of the most famous and most early SCPs of the foundation.

It's really interesting when someone who doesn't know anything about SCP discovers it in the wild like this. Even just commenting about how the radio signal isn't supposed to be able to reach that far underground. Like yeah that's the point, it's an anomaly

Jordan: *tries to logic SCP foundation anomalies*
those who have read multiple: there is no logic to this Jordan

There's the infinite Ikea, this one, the rock that causes extreme procrastination, a plague doctor with no discernable plague, a giant orange jello-peanut butter blob that makes you feel warm and fuzzy and less ill, etc etc

As the captain continues to play and question the technical equipment he forgets one thing. This is the SCP foundation, the limitations of the common world don't apply here.

I really hope Jordan gets into more SCP stuff. I feel like he could make some interesting theories about them (at least for the older ones)

Yes! Please do more SCP content, even if it is not in Minecraft! The SCP universe is huge and I would love to see you play more!

I'm surprised Jordan never played nor even seemed to see anything relating to SCP 087, the mini game back in the day for this was huge. I also dunno how to feel that his first experience of SCP is in Minecraft LOL but hey I'm all for it! SCP universe is awesome. Cool to see this mod and how accurate it is to the original stories

You know you're scared by a game when you spend the entire time just rambling about random things

I like how he just gave up trying to censor the f bombs

Not gonna lie, Jardon pretty accurately estimated the diameter of the Earth off the top of his head.

I hope there are more SCP maps like this, this one was pretty fun to watch you play through and I'm sure you'd love something to do with The Old Man, or maybe the Unkillable Lizard.

I have never thought that I would use the words "Jordan" and "SCP" in the same sentence. This was really fun.

29:08 43 seconds??! That’s roughly the height of Mount Everest which is 8850 meters. If something were to take 43 seconds to drop, it would be about 9069 meters deep or 5.635 miles deep. I know this because of d = 0.5 * g * t^2, where d is the distance or the depth of the hole, g is the acceleration due to gravity which is approximately 9.81m/s^2, and t which is the time, or 43 seconds in this case.

The calculation I used was:

0.5 * 9.81 m/s^2 * (43 s)^2

Of all things, I never thought I'd see Capn play something related to SCP lore
