Lifeguard here, this would be very hard to recreate. Someone would have to block the bottom completely. I doubt this would ever happen unless something went very wrong.

I think the majority of tube slides are designed to have hatches in spots where there is the possibility of this happening. So also look for a potential hatch. Water park employees use radios to communicate when someone is going down and when someone has come out the other side. If they get no signal to allow the next person, they know something is up and they typically send someone to look for you in those problems spots.
