Learn when, why and how to use wrist wraps for lifting. Did you know there's a left hand and right hand version?!

Wrist wraps, which are different from lifting straps, can help prevent wrist extension (bent wrists) on heavy pressing movements such as the bench press or overhead press. Wrist wraps can become a crutch, so make sure you wear them only for heavier pressing movements where you struggle to maintain wrist straightness.

Thanks for the video. I'm a skinny Asian dude, and my wrists are the size of a match. I recently injured my left wrist on a bench press. Hopefully wraps are gonna help me avoid injuries in the future

Thank your for getting straight to the point. I broke both of my wrists as a kid and I’ve found getting closer and closer to 200lbs on bench press that it’s getting hard for me to keep them in line with my arm.

I’ve been doing push pull leg split for 3 years and I’ve recently been unable to perform any upper body exercises because I’ve torn a ligament in my wrist. Been out of commission for 8 weeks now so as soon as I’m back into the gym, I’ll be takin all this information into consideration. Thanks for the video bossman

I like to use them when I curl, not for support but to remind me NOT bend my wrists

Hands down the easiest to understand video on this topic. Extra points for him not seeing the need to take his shirt off.

I’m double jointed in my wrists so it’s almost impossible to keep them straight. Haven’t been able to increase my bench at all for months. Definitely going to try using wrist wraps! Thanks

Awesome video man. Perfectly explained wrist wraps. For me wrist wraps have always kept my confidence up on my heavy lifts and definitely helped preventing old wrist injuries from coming back. Recently upgraded to these 3x super heavy duty wrist wraps from goblin gear and 100% a game changer even more with protection, for me it just shows how important certain lifting gear is and id definitely encourage anyone to at least try wrist wraps out.

Finally someone wrapping it outside of wrist and not inside so the pesky thumbloops don't go into your palms. Thanks for the tutorial sir. 👏

Excellent advice. I’d gotten used to the wsf wraps with the buckle and was using them almost all lifts. I now using the thumb hooks ones and only on the heavier lifts

Just wanted to say what a great informative video. You answered all my questions. I will add that I currently use 18 inch ones and they give a lot of support. I couldn't imagine a 24 inch one. Plus one for the detailed explanation on how to specifically wrap them. That was the main reason I was here as I feel I've been wrapping them a little too low and it looks from this that I was correct. Will wrap more at the base of the hand now. Thanks again.

I finally had to get wraps... I'm getting up there in age now, 45, 185 lbs, my heavy day flat bench was at 345/350... but now it's dropping down to around 325 because my one wrist can't take it anymore. My tendons are constantly hurting behind the thumb. Can't believe I've been lifting all my lift and had no idea how to use these so thanks for the video.
