I think it's a sign of immense personal growth being able to calmly talk about this with complete strangers. Not all infidelity is necessarily malicious, but all of it is intentional, at least in the moment, and nobody should blame themselves for it.

Some people don't know what they want, because they don't know who they are. And unfortunately, they string others along with them for their own security. It is incredibly common and heartbreaking to hear stories of young women (men too) being cheated on or treated like they're an option, and thinking that they are the ones that need to change so that they aren't treated that way. People take advantage of their partners with insecurities like this, which sounds like what happened to you.

I'm glad you've realised that it wasn't your fault. It must've been so hard to deal with it while your relationship was public too.
As a follower for about a decade now, you seem much more comfortable in yourself nowadays, particularly over the past couple of years. I'm super happy for you.

My situation was very similar to yours, my ex cheated in year 1 but we decided to work it out. Eventually had a kid but I caught her cheating in year 3.

Mine just did the same after 5 years. He left 3 weeks ago now, and I'm falling to bits here in our house. Every day is a struggle get through, he was a wonderful guy in every other way and my life isn't the same without him.

it was that ginger wasn't it. I remember a video he made with his mom with her answering questions about him, and one question was "what was the reason of your last breakup?" and the woman said loudly "EMMA". I remember thinking it was so unnecessary, and awful that he would upload it anyways. Now with this cheating story, it kind of makes sense...

That is part of the reason why I choose to stay away from dating completely. I have been told I'm a very attractive person and I have had girls try and get close to me because they want to date me but I just pull myself away and I feel like I've done this for so many years that I cant get back out there and that is very depressing and negatively effects my mental health daily.

I've been cheated on with 3 of my previous partners. After a while, you do really think there's something wrong with you cause it keeps happening... But it isn't. All three relationships were doomed from the start and in some, I refused to see the red flags and I blamed myself for letting it happen
