Update them every year? Mine still had 2011 on them! No wonder why I couldn't find anything.

Great video Nathan. Got my 2015 BMW X1 overseas loaded with European maps. Came back stateside and the dealership wants $800 to get US/North American map. Just wanted to verify that once I can provide my VIN info, there is no other products that I need to buy other than the $115 USB software.

I need help, my 2015 328i M Performance doesn't have maps or navigation. I have tried downloading updates from BMW into a flash drive ( well formatted) but nothing, I don't even have the "software upgrade" option available to click and when I go to maps it doesn't have a version so it looks like it didn't have any installed. Any suggestion on how to fix this, anything helps, thanks

Does it matter that I unplugged the USB before restarting the system, but after the "successfully updated" and "restart system" prompt? I reckon the install was complete when I got the prompt and the USB would not need to remain plugged in for the restart?
