How to change the instrument cluster settings in your BMW – BMW How-To

Learn in this video how to change the settings of your BMW's instrument cluster. In vehicles with Operating System 7, the Live Cockpit Professional offers a digital instrument cluster. You can change the display settings of the instrument cluster by going to 'CAR', 'Settings', 'Displays', 'Instrument cluster'.

Can the design be changed to round gauges or only rpms with gear??

Hi BMW, please give the rounded gauges option. They are much much more readable that these uggly dials. And also the possibility to display oil pressure and temperature permanently as a widget.
It is ma 5th BMW 3 serie and I am definitely a big BMW fan. However I am so disappointed by this digital display. I am a computer scientist so why have you developed half of the features ?

I have a 2018 440i Coupe and think I’ll get the M340i next. The only thing I don’t like is the digital display have the back to front arc of the tachometer. I much prefer the traditional shape of the dials in my digital display!

Very informative review thank you so much. Question, my 2021 X3 is reading infinite L/100km when I am fully stopped. This happened this morning since I reset the trip monitor after fueling up because I wanted to have an accurate idea of how many km I do on a full tank in the city. As soon as I reset my trip monitor, the car is reading 22+L/100km on my EcoPro gauge (digital dashboard) - My average fuel economy is 9.8L/100km, and after sitting at a stop sign for about 2 minutes it went up to around 20L/100km and fluctuated once I began to drive. Is this normal? Should I expect to see more accurate fuel ratings as I drive or should I be taking my car in for service?

Have to agree with all these comments. New z4 owner. Not a fan of the instrument cluster. Good thing is its just software. BMW please offer classic gauges.
