The new fully digital Instrument Cluster - Operating System 7 - BMW How-To

With the Operating System 7, BMW offers a digital instrument cluster, which combines all necessary informations on one screen. The instrument cluster is devided into three different areas for a clear overview. On the left you can see all driving relevant information, in the center area there is the navigation screen as well as control messages and on the right you can see the rev counter and widgets.

I can see the appeal to an electronic speedometer, but I'd like to see a reference back to the original 3 series speedometer in there. It'd be cool.

Is it possible that we will see the different theme colours around the odometer? The comfort mode uses the BMW standard orange however the eco pro mode uses a light blue which I would prefer personally to be the colour in comfort mode. Surely we can see some colour options in a future update?

I HATE the fact that the speedometer and tachometer turn in opposite directions; GOD intended counter-clockwise. I had one spec'd out in Schaumburg, IL (outside Chicago) and stopped when I saw this. Keep my 2016 a few more years and see if they correct this. Should, at the least, be fully customize-able. And as long as I belly aching; make the HUD a complete duplicate of the instrument panel.

Hi, why my instrument cluster colour doesnt change went select the type of driving mode. It should turn red when we select sport but in my 530e m sport maintains grey colour. pls help thank you. mine is I drive 7
