In Southern of California, in Los Angeles, Hollywood... the Mecca of the show. Everybody said: "it's so easy to be succeful in Los Angeles", but, actually, just some lucky people is succeful in Los Angeles. I remember another songs about the same topic... I remember right now "Hotel California" by Eagles. It was a more "serious" song, but, I've read that the message is the same: California is beatufil, but isn't the paradise and you can be in big trouble there.

I grew up in the LA area, long time ago, when this was written. Love the song! It Does rain in the winter months, about Nov-March. But not much in what others call spring, summer and fall. Usually does not rain in the summer. When I moved East to Missouri and Utah, found out in other places it DOES rain in the summer! But this song is about heartbreak, not rain. And heartbreak can happen anywhere!
