I accidentally ended file explorer and i clicked on file, run new task, put explorer and everything came back but i didn’t restart untill the end of the day so am i still good, thanks for making this, other people can make videos on the harder stuff but you can give info on the os (Windows) and nobody else does that and your helping people with their problems, you deserve more, thanks

Bless your soul. I was trying to hide my task bar and ended up deleting explorer.exe. I thought it would come back when I rebooted my PC but it didn't. Had an anxiety attack and started to search frantically for help on my phone and found this video. Thank you so much!

If you're Search button is bugging like when you type its not responding just go to Task Manager and search for the "Windows Explorer" then click and You will see at the bottom right corner of the task manager theres a Restart button click it and you're all good!

If your usb drive refused to be safely removed (via the icon beside clock/date), you may try end task the explorer.exe and rerun explorer.exe, the usb drive should able to be safely removed then. The classic “turn off and on again”.

Fun fact. Some games actually kill explorer.exe and bring it back once you close the game or press start

I did that accidentally and pressed the restart button on my pc, gladly, it came back.

I end explorer.exe all the time. It’s a common thing sometimes after playing a game the windows key would stop working. So to get it back I end the explorer.exe task and put it back on
