We don't typically need to reach muscular failure, usually 1 or 2 reps in the tank is the "best" balance as it won't impact to much following sets. The problem is that most people underestimate their strength, and training to failure makes people realize their real strength. So basically: train to failure so that your brain stops tricking you into stoping with too many reps in the tank!

When I talk about this things usually peoole make fun of me cause I always explain that when I played rugby they teached to me that "the very good training is the one you can't reapet the day after". For me it was an important tip but I noticed a lot of people rarely share this idea

The thing is it's way easier to achieve muscular failure when using a machine because it provides stability and your form won't break down as much as compared to if you didn't have a machine. But if you're doing an exercise without a machine, like push-ups it's way easier for your form to break down before you fully hit your limits.

Ive been training to failiure but the main thing i realised was i never knew if i went to through failiure so i wasnt able to push anymore even after i tried 3 or 4 times but i managed to force 5 more reps out of myself after i repeated 7 times.

If muscular failure means that feeling where you literally cannot do a single rep of something because your muscles feel like they just vanished and you don’t have the strength to continue, then I might do it 2 times per week or more.
If it is that, would that cause problems?
