I switched to the Trex hidden fasteners it's alot faster and looks cleaner.

uh trex reccomends 5/32 - 3/16ths gap dufus. Their installation tool sets it for you and costs the same as a spacer combo pack.

You do realize Trex has a hidden hastening system that doesn’t require pre drilling every hole. It would be impossible making any money doing it the way these guys are doing. Or you would have to charge double for the same job…
