I prefer squats so I am push dominant and I primarily played soccer and basketball growing up so it makes sense 🙂 let me know what you guys were and if it aligns with your sport down below!

Gotta do both either way. When training for sports that require lots of power, athletes often end up doing power cleans which is, ultimately, a bit of both

That’s makes sense. I like deadlifts more than squats and was bad at soccer and mid at basketball ball. Always did better in football and wrestling

with combat sports, i feel like grappling is pull dominant, whilst striking is much more push dominant, so a boxer would prefer improving their pushing strength, whilst a judoka will want stronger pulling muscles, and the best of either groups have obviously have strong muscles everywhere, but in varying amounts.
