The horrific effects of bombing and brutal Russian occupation in Borodianka

Borodianka is located around 45km north west of Kiev and around 50km south of the Belarussian border. Despite having no Ukrainian military presence, the town was subject to brutal bombing and then an almost one month long occupation in which the local population was terrorised. The horrific film footage shown here speaks for itself, but what cannot be seen is the trauma of many people who lost family buried alive when these buildings collapsed and the refusal of the occupiers to do anything to get people out of the buildings that they collapsed. Some people may have taken one week to die. This is utterly horrendous.

My history channel is based on my own research and generally comes from places I have visited and or original research. I live in a motorhome and as such spend most of my time travelling between Poland, Germany and Italy which is why there is a tendency to produce material from these countries, and sometimes material that is not available in English. My speciality is in World War Two, and in particular, the Holocaust although as you can see, I have opinions on a lot of other historical subjects too.

Thank you for this. You're recording the real, human experience in real time. History will cherish these. Stay safe.

The statue, in the middle of this town center, with the head looking down, in sadness for the loss of life maybe, is so apt to what is happening right now . Thank you for documenting this. Take care Alan

Hello! I am sorry not to have gotten back with you sooner, but I have been very ill. Thanks for the first-hand accounts. As you may recall, I am also a historian, but I work with Institutions and auction houses. Several of the houses have encouraged me to go to the Ukraine at some point to find items that could be sold at auction such as captured Russian Ushankas, documents and the like. The proceeds of much of these sales would be used to raise money for the Ukraine. Perhaps we might work together on some project of this sort.

You would not believe what people are paying here in the States for Zelensky's signature right now . A baseball signed by Zelensky just sold for over $40, 000. Everyone would benefit.

I can't help but wonder if it will ever go down to where the Ukrainian Security Services send agents into Russia to retrieve suspects covertly. I am certain they have IDed a number of individuals responsible for heinous crimes.

I've notice a number of very large bomb craters in Ukraine videos. I would guess they are bombs dropped from planes or possibly missile strikes. That's why i have no problem doing what I can to get the Ukrainians equally powerful weapons.

Question: what’s Ukraine’s position on joining NATO now? I know the Ukraine president keeps talking about dialogue us the only solution to peace well that’s probably the best way.
