INTJ Mistypes: Everyone is an INTJ

MBTI mistypes are common. It seems like everyone is an INTJ these days. Many types have external behaviors that can be similar to INTJs, such any Te (Extroverted Thinking) user (like ISTJ or ESTJ), or anyone who is driven and career focused (like the ENTP in this video). Are INTJs put on a pedestal? There are some drawbacks to being an INTJ...

This video was made partly using FlipaClip, and the sound effects and music are from Pixabay.

Plot twist: ENTP is pretending to be INTJ to mess with you

The funny thing is if you're actually an INTJ, you doubt that you are correct about your type because you see these patterns and assume that you made the same mistake.
I spent like a full year and a half researching my type since I was constantly doubting the fact that I was actually an INTJ, and then finally accepted that I couldn't prove myself wrong lol

Pretty sure that INFJ, INFP and INTJ are the 3 types with the most mistypes by far.

I see this all the time. Every thinker assuming to be an INTJ and every feeler assuming to be an INFJ. I guess everyone wants to feel unique and those are the most overrated types so yeah

I might be an INTJ or INFJ... Who knows, you'll never find out😏

i honestly couldn't care less. being an INTJ or INFJ doesn't make anyone any more or less special.

I love that the ENTP actually had a pretty good idea of why she could be an INTJ. Gotta love people with good reasons for their beliefs.

Me and my sister in a nutshell:

I'm an INFJ, she's an INTJ. We always get along and most of the time we understand each other. Except when I divert into my 'feeling'. One time, I even have to explain to her how is it like having anxiety. That it can't be easily relieved with just breathing or not thinking about it. Point is, she has a strong will, something that I admire about her.

AwWw there is no one that can get INTJ in my opinion like INFJ does! Great pairing indeed! Funny enough, I have been often typed as an INTJ on tests even though people around me tell me I am a perfect example of an INFJ, I thought at a certain point that I can be both, like an INXJ, but these two are different having two totally different functions, which is quiet confusing.

Note: sorry for my English I am not a native speaker.

It’s actually mostly us INTP’s that get mistyped as an INTJ most often. I can also see an INFJ and an ISTJ getting mistyped as one, as well. Lol

I think ENTJ is the easiest type to mock an INTJ.

I identified a lot with the last dialogue because I'm an INFJ and my boyfriend is an INTJ and our conversations are pretty deep. haha ha

Yeah... very annoying when people act like one or two types are the best, when there is no best. Everyone has struggles, including INxJs. I hate it the same as any other biases, such as when people look down on sensors. We need all kinds to keep things moving.
Also, when people start claiming falsehoods, such as claiming to be what they're not, claiming to be multiple types, changing types, etc... at some point, I just had to take a step back, "not my circus, not my monkeys" and let people live with their ignorance, because so many people don't want to hear the truth & don't react pleasantly when faced with it.

Hypocrisy is one of the many reasons we prefer to be in our own minds... a healthy INTJ knows when a struggle has become worthless and when something no longer contributes to our own or our beloved's wellbeing or became useless to our projects.

We have no need to brag about our achievements (opposed to the depicted ENTP's Ne-Ti) or our mindset as it's a big deal (opposed to the depicted ESTJ's Te-Si), since in the end we seek a calm, comfortable life - not status, as the depicted extraverts did. This makes it look like an appearance matters more than substance, which an INTJ despises.

About the ISTJ, I had that conflict as well until I studied the function stacks... as a survivor of a bad ISFJ mother, I learned authority derives from respect, not power positions, thus anyone in a leadership, power or guidance position is neutral-to-irrelevant until they prove their competence, and my horrible childhood/teenage years forced me to work things on my own, so my mindset is independent, but I wish I had a significant other to share a lifelong journey with... too bad this is wishful thinking.
(75% of population are sensors, I already had excessively troublesome Fe examples, a likely good match for me would be an INFP [I don't know any INFJs] and I don't feel the need to engage in shallow conversation just to get someone's attention - conclusion, extremely likely to be misunderstood and/or unfulfilled)

A rant, a sigh, and the truth to bear and deal with.

I’ve taken quite a few different MBTI tests and almost always test as INTJ. I also enjoy debating quite a bit, and rarely shy away from debates so some people think I’m ENTP. My previous employment as a branch of law enforcement I often found myself in court with hostile lawyers. Unlike most of my colleagues I was never intimidated by the (supposedly) better educated lawyers. I even played dumb or naive really effectively to often trap aggressive defense attorneys, much to their surprise (and to the delight of prosecutors).

However after better understanding the cognitive functions and self analysis, I am certain that I am actually ISTJ.

Real INTJ even not join discussion about that.

Blows my mind how anyone who is intelligent and analytical in any way assumes they're automatically INTJ because there's a label that INTJ is often very intelligent.

Nevermind that the personalities that are likely to think this way apparently lack the intelligence to realize that other types can be just as intelligent too, and significantly more formidable in other areas than an INTJ is.

To make it worse, they've seemingly bypassed the self inflicted trap of intelligent people often questioning or even doubting their own intelligence without so much as a molehill's difference on a freeway. The self awareness you'd have to lack to do so is pretty disturbing overall.

It's almost as funny as it is obnoxious at the end of the day.

Glad you made this. Pretty cathartic in a way.

Could you please make a video about the interaction between INTP and INFP?

I always struggled with friendships since I was kid. I never thought someone friend but they did. I never felt anything special about them. Now I literally have real infj and intj friends and I'm in peace. I feel so relaxed and chilled up. They even understand my social withdrawal lmao 🤧

My partner's INTJ and my bestie's INFJ and they get along very well(as friends of course :p). I do get along with both of them obviously cos if I wouldn't - they wouldn't be labeled that way :)

This makes me question whether I really am an INTJ...
