The funny thing about this is that this 001 proposal probably wouldn’t actually cause a true end of the world scenario due to the ludicrous amount of resources at the SCP foundations disposal, the fact that the 05 council is made up mostly of anomalous super geniuses, and the insane amount planning the SCP foundation has for anything. I bet that if this actually happened in the SCP world, it would look something like this:
Sun gets angry and a lot of people get melted
If at least one 05 survives which is almost a certainty due to their anomalous nature and their crazy security precautions.
That 05 would have access to hundreds of anomalous objects, and for this all we need is an object that can cause teleportation in some way.
Next the 05 would go get something that isn’t round (SCP 055) then teleport to SCP 579 and boom the universe has been reset to when this wasn’t a problem.

Even if this couldn’t happen for whatever reason, there are plenty of Sentient SCPs with powers that could keep humanity alive or stop this apocalypse, for example SCP 343 aka God. He’s been shown to have reality warping powers, what’s stopping him from uninformed that to stop this apocalypse and heal those melted by it? Now let’s go the the complete opposite of the spectrum to SCP 106, yup The Old Man. He’s been shown to have sentience and intelligence with the ability to reason and use logic, and is only driven by the want to cause pain in humans. Lets think for a second, if all humans are melted into a blob, what is left for SCP 106 to torture? Nothing. Remember that 106 has human level intelligence and reasoning skills so it would be reasonably able to realize this, and thus its a serious possibility that SCP 106 uses its powers to save people so humanity can regrow so that 106 won’t run out of humans to torture.

This is of course only scratching the surface, but just think about the pure amount of anomalous power the SCP foundation has at its disposal and realize that almost any end of the world scenario can be countered somehow, unless the threat is literally just dimensions higher than what the SCP Foundation has access to, so basically in order to end the world some Lovecraftian higher elder god that is simply on another level compared to any known SCP would have to be the one doing the world ending.

TL;DR
It’s basically impossible to end the world because the SCP foundation has access to thousands of anomalous things that would be used to counter whatever apocalypse is happening.

The only thing that took me out from this incredibly realistic EAS announcement was the fact that 1. they recommend going to Site-19 but they only show a little blip in the middle of Arizona and expect you to find it that way and 2. this is supposedly an international broadcast so who would have the means to travel halfway across the world to a site in the US given the circumstances? Other than those two minor complaints, just perfect.
