The scariest thing about this SCP is that it turns everything you know and understand as "safe" into a complete nightmare. To survive in the world, you must go against every single survival instinct you have. Where once darkness was scary and the light was safe, now darkness is "preferable" over the light. The voices, the people you know, every safe place - it is all consider lost while you live for the rest of your life in paranoia. Death is no longer final - the sun can pull you out even out of death's embrace.

And what is a cherry on top of the dreadful world of When Day Breaks? All the people corrupted by the sun... are happy with what happened to them. And they feel sorry for you. They want you to join them in the light. Can you imagine, hearing your mother's voice out of those bloops, saying how she misses you and loves you? How she would love to hug you again? Can you imagine fighting your inner urge to listen to someone you used to trust the most? Who you used to love the most?

That is why WDB is perfect. Because it combines both Eldritch and unknown horror with psychological horror. It's a work of pure genius.

No one realizes how awesome this channel is. I can't ever really find good channels that talk about cryptids, SCP's, and so forth.

The problem with doing these in order is that there are multiple SCP-001, since this is a classification of SCP capable of ending the SCP-Foundation or the world

This is my favorite reading of When Day Breaks so far! Is this the SCP-001 that you consider "The One" or will you be doing the others, like the Scarlet King, or the Guardian?

This Apollyon class scenario is so scary like imagine waking up and go to college and boom everyone you ever knew just become a living flesh jello by the sun and the fact you will live as this till killed makes it more scary

I do love that when it comes to SCP-001 we don't really know which one the real one is which makes a lot of sense since 001 is supposed to be the most horrifying one of all. Although you choosing it to be "when day breaks" also makes a lot of sense.

i wish i could say this scp scared me, but idk. i really want to know what is so scary about this to so many people. don’t get me wrong, this is a fantastically written scp, one of the best. it’s just not that scary imo.
