He knows when he has to do his job but also keep up good humor.

Dr bright has been around for so long and he has morals at his core. If it was some random shmuck they would have let the sun take them upon feeling that sensation of bliss but bright was trained and spent his life towards moments like this so not only does his amulet have a selfish hunger but he is able to overcome the sun because he knows it has to be done, I love it.
