Unbelievable Hack: Instantly Fix Your Tankless Water Heater Without Any Error Codes!

My Rinnai tankless water heater would sometime stopped producing hot water and it would not produce any error code. This video will cover the steps you can take to reset your water heater. Hopefully, one of this step will help fix your problem.

The common issue with this type of problem is that the water servo and sensor would not sense the water coming in. Either the sensor is about to give or there could be a clog that is preventing the turbine at the water entry to spin. If it is a clog, you simply need to clean it and you are good to go for a long time. If the problem is with the sensor intermittently stopping to recognize the heater, you will need to reset it and eventually you will need to replace it to fix the problem for good.

My issue begins with a clog but after 5 years, the problem is happening more often so I assume that I will need to replace the sensor really soon. I am looking around and the part that I need is out of stock. Hopefully, they will get this back in stock so I can replace it and share another video on how to replace the sensor.

You are a life saver sir. Turning the inlet valve off, letting it drain, and turning on quickly fixed mine.

Dude!! You made my day. It was the water servo. As I tapped on it (a little aggressively) and the hot water gradually went from a trickle to running running like it should from the tap. Must be time to replace it.

So slightly different problem... been running fine for last 2 years which supplies kitchen sink and bathroom shower but we never use at the same time. Few weeks ago suddenly when only the hot water is on every 15 seconds it alternates hot and cold... water filter is clean. Please help! Thank you.

I have an issue with my Eemax HA024240. The unit works well, providing hot water to all my homes fixtures except for our Showers. My Faucets and Dishwasher hit Hot water temps of 110 -115 degrees with the unit set to 120 degrees. Our Showers do not get much warmer than 95 degrees. I recently discovered that if I slightly open my cold water faucet in my tub while showering the water coming out of the shower will get hot enough to burn your skin. I'm trying to figure out how to get a hot shower without having to run the cold water out of another faucet at the same time.

The cold water seems to be drowning out the hot water but a slightly opened cold water valve really gets the hot water going strong. I'm not not why this is working out the way that it is because, I'm not running the cold water strongly, however, if I turn off the cold water, the hot water gets cold very quickly. Any Ideas?

I got it to work again, but it stopped working when I lowered the temp. I'll look at the filters

Just curious. Do tankless cause more issues than tank? Seems like these things are pretty much broken computers compared to a tank.

From looking at your setup... it will work but its not the went to HD and bought a tankless valve kit for under 100.00 it comes with two separate valves for hot and two separate valves for cold. This is used for 1x annual flushings with white vinegar (4 gallons into a 5 gallon bucket and circulate with a 1/6 hp submersible pump)....be sure to take out the inlet filter before you start the cleaning. This is all in the manual that came with your tankless heater. If you have ventilation issues with your unit....such as a code 11 ... you might have to take apart your heater plate and internal heater unit to blow it clean with compressed air and vacuum internally ... then reinstall everything this can be googled on youtube as some have already have this process listed....i hope this helps your viewers.

Let me give you some advice... Rinnai Tankless Water heaters Rarely give Faulty Codes... Also Cleaning regularly is needed, flushed with cleaner or white vinegar, which works fine.. Thanks

The correct procedure here is to flush the heat exchanger, the reason youre getting loss of hot is due to mineral drop out from heating that coats the heat exchanger. You need 2 laundry hoses a bucket and a pump and vinnegar. In over 30 years service gasfitting and plumbing ive never had one that the electrical or aqua stat as the problem. Also that "turbine " is calld a flow sensor. This is not fixing, this is fumbling shown in this video.
