I've always known the extra battery from using dark mode, but I personally use it because light mode would be my cause of blindness.

Guys if you didn’t know, the dark mode battery trick ONLY works on phones with OLED displays which can turn off individual pixels. If you have an iPhone 8 or earlier or an iPhone SE (or various android phones), then it has a backlight which cannot turn off and therefore dark mode will not save battery. Still, dark mode looks better.
