The point beside the water tower is a point for random encounters. Got mauled by dogs. 🤣

Don’t forget about following the river to the left side of the bridge. Keep following it until you reach a fuse box with an open lid and a switch. When you flick the switch the noise it makes will turn off, after it has turned off go up and follow the pipe until you reach a giant yellow metal rectangle (I’m not sure that it actually is called) the hatch on the right side when approaching from the river will be unlocked and out will fall three cap stashes, there will also be a .44 pistol, some ammo, and a randomized loot bag.

Don’t forget the under ground cellar in sanctuary

If you go to the right of sanctuary there is an army vehicle thingy and right out side of it there is an army helmet.

As soon as you get out of the vault there will be a railway lookout looking out at the vault Deacon is always watching

For the best start always pick Lockpicking as ur first perk and go into the root cellar bebind 1 of the houses in sanctuary

My start-up playthroughs usually begin with me coming out of vault 111 and making a counter-clockwise journey around sanctuary.

Heading west until I get to the power lines. Turn south with those power lines until I either hit the atom cat in power armor, fighting off a band of raiders or just the raiders. Help out or take out. Then continue south until I get to the abandoned shack with the dead runaway girl in it.

Heading more south to Abernathy farms. Pick up the quest about their daughters locket. Then I go south of Abernathy farms to that ghoul cabin that has the tunnel system under it. Kill the ghouls there. Then head to Trudy's to sell off whatever I got that I don't need. But I either kill the drug pusher raiders, or get trudy to pay them off. Whichever I feel like doing at that moment.

Then I meet up with trash can Carla. Make nice with her. Then I run up to the water tower (avoiding concord entirely) to claim the purified water and steamer trunk goodies.

From there, I hit the red rocket truck stop and kill all the mole rats there and in the tunnels. Scrape the whole place for its materials and transport it to sanctuary. Then I talk to codsworth, do the bug killing, clear out all the homes, then roll up my shelves to scrape much of sanctuary. Build some basic buildings, water stuff and beds. Then off to the lake and woods to do some more goodies searching. Then I go to the lake water pump area to claim my revolver, kill the raiders and mole rats.

Then off to the robot scrape yard to befriend the sentry bit and get a fat man. A quick stop to get the power armor at the crashed verta-bird. Then off to the satellite array to get the Abernathys locket. And get a mini gun.

Sometimes I swing way out and go to ten pines bluff to see what they need, then down to the rail line down the hill to claim another power armor. But that's only if I racked up enough perks to unlock the terminal.

All that is my main objective in my start up. 😊

In my head canon that duffle is Nate’s. He had it stored away in case of an emergency because he was taught in the military to always be prepared for anything

Follow the river east for caps in the generator and a 44

Each playthrough I do a power armor build, and after grabbing the T-45 from concord I'll head straight over to the Robot disposal grounds north of Sanctuary and steal the fusion cores off the sentry bot thats there. Sometimes FC's spawn in the military crates there too. Theres also a Fat Man, just no ammo for it. Oh and dont forget the hot rodder magazine.
All around a great spot to loot, yet no-one seems to talk about it

Also, a little to the north east, passing some trees, just sitting there in the open and unguarded (except for some dogs) its a Power Armor.

There is a fallen tree in sanctuary that you cam walk onto a roof with, there is some loot there as well

Don’t forget the cellar in the neighbors house to the left of you home in sanctuary

That half buried trunk respawns every so often. And talking about survival playthroughs there's a bunch of wild mutfruit that also respawns regularly.
