You can stop zombie villagers from despawning by trading atleast once with the villagers before zombifying them.

Just so that you know: Either trade with the villagers first, or make the zombie villagers hold something or are in a boat so that they don't despawn. In any case, I wasn't aware that your previous survival series was over - yet I'm enjoying this series as well.

Nice video. Also the reason why your zombie villagers despawned is because they did not have a profession/job, neither had they been traded with or had items and armor. That’s why only one villager didn’t despawn and others did. I hope this helps 😁

im happy smb is starting a new hardcore series beucase i recently lost my 600 day hardcore world while i was afk and i had lost motivation to keep going but you are really motivating me ill start one right now

I think the reason the zombie villagers despawned was because you didn't trade with them first. If you lock in their trades, they won't despawn even if they're not nametagged or holding an item. :)
