New Criminal Code replaces IPC, Cr.P.C and Evidence Act - Criminal Code Bill 2023

It contains 3 Bills which when enacted are set to replace the 3 most important legislations of Indian Criminal Justice System:
Bharatiye Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 to replace IPC (Indian Penal Code)
Bharatiye Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 to replace Cr.P.C (Criminal Procedure Code)
Bharatiye Sakshya Sanhita, 2023 to replace Indian Evidence Act.

It aims to overhaul and improve the current state of Criminal Justice System of India. Whether it is capable or not, that we will have to decide for ourselves when we analyze the provisions in this video.

In the video i forgot to talk about how over worked and understaffed the police force of India is.
You can read about it on the internet but i want to give you one statistic. On an average, police officers work for more than 14 hours a day, which is six hours more than their stated working duration.

Note: 18 States, 6 Union Territories, the Supreme Court, 16 High Courts, 5 Judicial Academies, 22 Law Universities, 142 Members of Parliament, around 270 MLAs and public have given their suggestions on these new laws
The Home Minister said, for 4 years intense discussions were held on these laws and he himself was present in 158 consultation meetings. (Source: Press Information Bureau)
