Most of the MP have a criminal past or have criminal cases pending against them and the joke is to get these laws vetted from such elements.

This is worrying. These laws were passed without discussions and inputs.

Instead of supporting or opposing in a piecemeal manner, "Intellectuals" should jointly publish their own "ideal" version for each of these three laws. So that we ordinary citizens can compare and contrast the two versions.

Before BNS FIR is mandatory & After BNS FIR is you choice on police department. Shame on you government & there is no Evidence how this law reforms without majority of mp and the speaker of parliament has been suspended 130 MP before law reforms 🤬

While these laws are rather good but the powers given to police is quite draconian in nature

It's good the ruling party is at least trying to refresh the arcade IPC, But the implementation without a public discourse at the very least a parliamentary consensus is authoritarian and pure illegal. This should be properly be contested and reformed with the help of Supreme Court by using non partisan intellectuals, as political parties in any side of the aisle will just love the idea of more power to them. There should be a line dividing the citizen privacy and criminal intent.

Criminal being treated as Criminal is considered wrong then Supreme Court is the wrong person here😢

The new laws will be headache for the court and police. How can we introduce such laws when many of police stations had no electricity, no mobile network or wifi. How can police charge sheet within 35, 50 days time, when forensic report takes years.
A citizen in police custody for extended periods, this is inhuman. Hundreds of laws needs to be amended as it has a reference with CrPC.

excessive power in hand of police will destroy the balance between civil liberties and tyranny of police. These laws should be debated again in parliament.
