The TRUTH about the CHEAPEST C8 Corvette $59,995.00 Can BUY | Is the 1LT Trim the way to go?

As a new C8 Corvette owner, I've had to make decisions on what my build was going to be (1 LT vs 2LT Z51 Package etc..), I've had to break it in from the factory, and best of all, I've had to get used to a new mid engine sports car platform. In this series, I share with you what it's like to be a new owner of the 2020 Chevrolet C8 Corvette with the Z51 package and the Magnetic Ride dampers.

My 2021 was $62, 185. It's a 1LT and non-z51. I'm perfectly happy with it

I'm with you. The 1LT is a fantastic value. Electronic gizmos are nice but some how Corvettes have existed for almost 70 years without them.

Totally agree, love my 1LT HTC. BTW the HTCs all get the rear view mirror camera included, I was not expecting it. Also, when you get the Adrenaline red seats as you do, you also get the red stitching for free, it’s not free otherwise. I thought I would add heated seats via aftermarket, but after driving roof down in 35 degree weather, I’m not convinced I need them. (All my convertibles have had heated seats)

This is a sports car with power windows, power brakes, telescoping steering wheel, power seats, a computer screen to access all the interior functions, all the fluff in the 2 and 3 Lt lasts about 6 months and then I forget half the luxury features.

I’ve been daily driving new corvette z51 s or z06s for decades. Only car feels need or are aware of the luxury differences of higher interior trim levels.

Nothing wrong with LT1 the point is your driving a Corvette that’s a blessing in itself I’m more excited about my 2022 LT1 in hypersonic gray on the way than I am excited about the Z06. Maybe I can afford the Zora model but I think I’m going all in with my LT1. Might turbo it or supercharge it might get some of these amazing kits I’m just super stoked to own a C8

Met a guy with a new C8 a couple months ago, he paid 85K. I own a '91 NSX, the original owner paid 83K, 20K over list. Yes the new Corvette is one heck of a bargain.

The 2LT is base for me as I need the front lift for the crazy driveway and other safety mods like blind spot monitoring and PDR.

Love your Corvette. One car I can think of that’s also very good in value for 65-70K is the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio.

That is the exact interior I ordered on my 1LT, red seats with black interior.I ordered Elkhart Lake Blue, with Z51, and mag ride also. Just waiting for the allocation next month and the order gets picked up.

I m planning on ordering a 1lt with Z51 and magnetic ride. I don’t care about other tech and creature comforts. I need a lighter car with track capabilities. I m a diehard manual transmission fan but this car right here is just amazing.

I completely agree the only thing you would want is the rear view camera because you cant see shit out that back window. Other than that less is more.

I have a brand new 2023 HTC 1LT with mag ride and optional performance exhaust.Very happy with my choice.If you dont track the car its fine on the road.My brother has 2022 2LT HTC with Z51 and mag ride and his car is faster than mine, holds the road better and brakes are a lot better than standart brakes.On the track, i cannot keep up.Its not the driver if we exchange cars he cannot keep up.The Z51 package is superior on the track in every way, the limited slip diff makes the car react a lot better at higher speeds, but on the road, dont need lt.

I'm looking to buy a c8 rn, the only reason I want a 2lt is the rear view cam and blind spot monitor maybe vented seats sound nice

The truth is it's amazing. Most of us don't need the z51 package, and while the heads up display and mirror camera are cool, you can enjoy it just fine without it. I do think it's worth adding the performance exhaust though for like 1k.

Great vid. The only question I have, is if you are a track rat - why not the competition seat add? Do you find the base seats hold you firmly in place? I’m worried about siding around in the leather.
