Here’s a really good tip for bites
If you have no equipment the best thing to do is to use your nail to create a small x on the bite
Just gently press down with your nail and it should stop itching for a while
At first it may tickle but that’s normal it’ll stop later

The first day I use a cold compress or even a washcloth with ice and instead of itching I put the ice on the bite, I use it all day especially at night when I feel it itches the most. The next day I use a washcloth with hot water the hotter the better whenever it starts to itch. Never scratch your mosquito bites instead use the cold and the next day use the hot compresses. This seems to work for me I do swell up pretty bad from those bites but doing this procedure first a cold next day hot helps with the each and swelling. This works for me I'm not sure if it'll work for you, but the first day always use cold first.
