Down dog is sooo difficult for me.
Sore wrists, bit of reflux, getting out of breath very easily. Yoga sure is a work out.
But I really like your 30 days of yoga so far! Day one was very difficult for me, so after I finish I'm doing it again to see if I improved.

It's definitely the legs for me... I feel it in so many positions, even if it's not aimed for legs specifically

I've been practicing yoga for 10 years and have never been able to ground my heals! I've just accepted that this was as far as my body could go 😂

Another one which I never see anyone talk about - not everyone’s spine is the same. I have struggled with so many fitness systems and even had a personal trainer who kept telling me to “just” do physical things I was incapable of doing. Very long torso, no curve to the spine, makes a lot of routines tough 😵‍💫 would love to see it explored more!

Brilliant. Very well explained! Thank you! I have a sit down job I sit for 36 hours a week. I struggle with 3 or 4 of the things you described.

dfd should be approached like any other advanced posture. it's way more technical than people think

It’s definitely the shoulders, arms, and wrists for me….and the inversion…I have a hard time with child’s pose, too

There is so much mechanics in the poses. one of them is the internal rotation or the upper arms and legs with feet and finger tips pressing into the. ground and lifting everything else up. eventually the back chain lengthens to have the heels on the ground and hips pressing back and up.

Although the down dog is one of the basic, common yoga poses, I feel so much pain all the time😅 Thank you for the tips!

And keeping the spine straight, as in a forward bend, particularly the lower back.

I'm loving the current 30 day challenge. For me, my arms kill me during downward dog, which just tells me that aside from pectoral muscles, I need to work on strengthening my arms altogether😅

Literally every single one of these for me 😅🤦‍♀️ i have to bend my knees a lot to make it work! And then rotate my wrists afterwards if i stay in it too long.

Heels never need to touch the ground in down dog💜

As a beginner, it seems off that this is our rest pose in my hatha classes. By the end of class it feels exhausting.

I just think my upper body/arms can’t hold my weight on them

I never feel a stretch through my back or shoulders with down dog. Not sure what I'm doing wrong, but I keep at it.
