My mental health is quite problematic. I even shaved my entire head because my parents don't believe me, so I did it to let them know I can't continue to live this way. I wish parents would check in on their children because we really need their help. I always watch this channel to lift my spirits because this channel gets me.

I love watching these videos because they help to explain things about myself and learning I'm not the only one dealing with these problems, but at the same time makes me feel trapped as the family I have make it kind of hard for me to really convey how it is that I'm feeling without being judged and thinking I'm just making excuses. I hope one day I will be able to breathe a sigh of relief.

I kinda wonder if anyone else has felt what I've been feeling lately; it's kinda like I've been depressed, but not sad. Like a lot of the stuff that is mentioned in this video, but I'm genuinely happy instead of feeling down. I quit feeling the downer type depression on a regular basis a few years ago, only situational like when something negative happens, but every now and then I still feel depressed but positive.

This was me for literally years. I'm still working on my mental health, but so far I think I found at least three big issues to my mental health struggle.

The first one, and possibly the biggest factor for me was I was constantly going to new jobs and job hopping all the time, and every job I had was a terrible one for an introvert to do. I knew what I wanted to do, but was constantly running against the wind and instead of working towards what I wanted, I worked against it because I was afraid of failure and also because I didn't think I could make my dreams come true.

Second contributor was that instead of taking opportunities to improve myself, I ignored them and escaped into a seemingly permanent fantasy land instead of practicing mindfulness and learning more about the wonderful people and the world we live in. Nothing wrong with escaping into fantasy from time to time, but doing it as much as I was (almost all the time) is very problematic.

Last one was I just hated myself. When I looked in the mirror, I hated my body, hated how skinny and how out of shape I was, had many bad habits I had, how introverted I was and how life seemed to be passing me by. Just felt like a total loser and unworthy of life or love.

It always sucks taking a long, hard look at yourself when you're unhappy/depressed/suffering, but you'll be a better person for it. Everything in due time. We have the power to better ourselves and forge our own happiness whether it be through your own power or the help of others. Best of luck friends, you're never alone with how you feel!

Recently, I do feel motivated to draw, but I feel overwhelmed to get started. Ditto for wanting to play one of my favorite games. I was thinking of those examples while watching this.

I'm crying so much rn
Especially when they say it's a huge red flag
I am afraid of reaching out .
I tried once and everything went for the worse.
Also, my parents couldn't handle another child with mental problems.
In the one keeping the family together with my happy personality and my grades and my lies.
It makes me wanna give up on everything .

I'm so happy that you touched on the maladaptive daydreaming cuz I am getting better at it but I used to be so bad. It was at a point of unmanageability and made life dysfunctional. My teachers in school thought I had learning disabilities.

The laziness one is to real and the phone one is real as well. I have been better at putting my phone down but its not easy. The thing about being so overworked, and then convincing yourself that taking an off day for yourself recharge can be dangerous. If you don’t know how to manage it, for example: say, I’m a workaholic, I tend to always be on the go, and outside of work I tend to always be running errands, and doing something around the house to keep myself busy, then the moment comes when I feel tired and realize I have been pushing myself too much lately, I’m gonna decide to take one day off out of this week to just do nothing and recharge and chill, and watch a movie, or a show, or read a book etc. Once that day comes, and I do that, I realize how much I have been missing out on having time for myself, I realize how doing nothing can be really tempting, I realize that I should do this more often, I realize they’re not worrying about important things for one day feels actually freeing. This type of mentality is good and bad at the same time, here is why. Because the feeling of being a relief relaxed, actually, letting go off of some steam is healthy, but it can be detrimental if we dwell on it, too long, leading to becoming lazy, leading to not wanting to do anything else leading to thinking that you have to push yourself and your body to do things that you know you have to do and sometimes do and don’t want to do them. Then you find yourself arguing with yourself all the time and thinking about leaving it for another time will be better when you know that you actually will never do it if you don’t push yourself to do so.
I say this out of experience, I have struggled with mental health for a better part of over 6 years now, I have found myself going back-and-forth with this type of mentality and routine. There are moments where I am good even there’s times where I can go months with having a balanced routine that is healthy, but in my case, the reason of for my mental health problems or generated from an outside force. Due to family issues that are ongoing seeking professional help is vital for an individual who is going through certain things in life that is affecting the mental health of the individual, I get that it can be hard to get out of your butt and schedule an appointment to see a therapist or, but the longer you post pone the necessary help you need, the longer you will be struggling to figure out how to work out your issues, it is not impossible to do it on your own, and to keep yourself busy, and managed your off days well, but I can tell you that sooner or later that professional support will be needed. Doing it on your own as an expiration date. Trust me on this one I for one, as I am writing this, I am realizing that I need to get back on seeking professional help there’s a look for anyone who is going through family issues, personal issues mental health problems that are uncontrollable keep up the good fight

I have biology exam tomorrow and I'm just lying in my bed doing nothing but scrolling even though I like studying biology and learning new things.
I was wondering what my problem is that I have tons of tasks to do but I don't actually go and do it.
I hope all of us that are struggling with mental health get better someday soon .
Thanks for your amazing channel ❤💓
