A lot of us guys aren’t really good cooks....but you making me look like a pro in front of my lady brah!!! Made a sausage + bell pepper sandwich (like you find at the fairs here in the US), and she was amazed how easy I sliced the peppers 🌶 Thx for the brownie points my man!!!👍

I think this to be a better method of cutting up a bell pepper than other ways I've seen, Thanks!

This is fabulous! I've cooked for 40 years, and never had a good way to clean bell peppers. Saw this, and had a "doh!" moment, realizing it's completely logical. My old way got me curved pieces, very hard to fry nicely. This method gets me flat pieces, very easy to fry! Then I got to thinking, with it being flat, what about roasting? With a gas range, burning the skin is easy, with tongs over the flame. I have an electric oven.

I've watched the various ways to roast bell peppers, and none of them make sense. I've used halves, even quarters under a broiler, and whatever isn't under the flame doesn't char. Roasting with high heat takes WAY too long!

I cleaned a green pepper this way, flattened it, and didn't bother to even cut the strip in half. Just put it flat on some non-stick foil (on a sheet pan), and added the two ends (face down for all of it, skin side up). Broiled 1 level above middle, under HI broil. 4 minutes, turned the pan, 4 minutes, turned the pan, and 3 minutes. 11 minutes total. ALL the skin had browned and puckered! I put it all in a glass bowl, covered with plastic wrap, and let sit for 15 minutes to cool, then pulled off the skin. WOAH!!!! This is the easiest roasting and cleaning I've Ever done!!

Thank you very much for the video! I don't fret about any bell peppers anymore, and I'm actually excited about getting back to roasting! And remember, folks, roasted peppers with the skin removed can be frozen! They'll last a long time, and can be thawed and ready to use. Think Italian sausage sandwich with roasted green pepper slices, and mozzarella cheese! But hey...27 minutes for roasted peppers? (1 minute to clean them), it's Good Times all around.

Great information. I have some green peppers that I was going to cut up. I’m gonna try your way. Thank you for posting.

Nice, I tend to cut slices vertically round from top to bottom about 1/2 inch in then slice the slices. This was recommended by a British chef, I will try your way though as there is less waste and more linear slices!
