We bought a watermelon. I haven't cut one up in a long time. So I YoUTubed "fastest way to cut a watermelon". I watched this video and BAM! Great method! Def doing this again in the future! My relatives were impressed how fast I went inside, cut up a watermelon and came out serving it :) THANKS!!!

The people down-talking this method have never actually done it. It's fast, easy, and far less messy. And you stand a better chance of cutting yourself the traditional way while you're stripping off the rind, not this way. I do this all the time, no problem.

Stabilize the watermelon before making the horizontal cuts. Slice part of the bottom off. Or, put the watermelon half cut-side down on a cleaned surface.

Just attempted this at home, I realized I have a cheap Walmart knife that could barley cut into the watermelon without stabbing it .... fml.
