Adam Driver’s performance is phenomenal, and Kylo/Ben is definitely the most complex and nuanced character in the ST. Do you think that Han thought he’d gotten through to Ben and was taken off guard when Ben stabbed him, or do you think Han actually helped in his own death, possibly igniting the lightsaber himself, knowing that Snoke would kill Ben if he didn’t follow through in this act? It’s significant that shortly after Han touches his son’s face, Ben is scarred by Rey in the same place. So he visibly wears this scar showing how fractured he is by what he’s done. And when Rey stabs him in TROS, I’m pretty sure the wound is in the same place where he ran Han through. Rey heals Ben physically, scar and all, and then the vision he has of Han, and Leia reaching out to him, finally heals him emotionally.

Let's all admit it. Adam Driver's portrayal of Kylo Ren/ Ben solo was the highlight of the trilogy.

i think when leia sensed ben killing han she actually felt ben's pain when killing his own father not han death becuz han isnt force sensitive and thats why she held out hope for ben coming to the light side even in the last jedi

Excellent. Honest to goodness, this trilogy is so Shakespearean, so nuanced and so many shades of grey I don't know how anyone can not appreciate these films.

If you read the novelization of TFA, Kylo Ren actually collapses and falls to his knees after he kills Han. It is so obvious that he immediately regretted what he'd done. In certain aspects, I think TFA novel is more dramatic than the film; they omitted a lot of things that were in the novelization, things that I think really give us a good glimpse into the characters' minds that I wish would've been included. There's a lot of extra dialogue between him and Rey in the novelization, for example, along with things that hint at their connection and the fact that they've seen each other before in visions. But I think they hadn't decided where they were going with any of this in the very beginning, and so they kept things a little more open ended. Anyway, yeah, no, Ben was absolutely destroyed after what he did to Han. His constant inner conflict is part of what makes him the most interesting Star Wars character of all time. But that's just my opinion...

I always thought when Kylo killed Han it was because so he could stop feeling the pull to the light and become one with the dark side like his grandfather before him.

And some people still think he deserved to die SMH. On the plus side that number seems to be dwindling, even now. More and more of the fandom are seeing that Kylo/Ben is the best part of the ST, and are wishing that he had lived, with Rey or not.

I have to admit that I rarely heard someone who had such understood that character! You have a really great view of his events and it even makes sense for his journey! Thank you for pointing that out. I’ll write that not because I agree or disagree but as all the takes about him being „too bad/evil; makes no Sense“ are really there often: It just shows that some can’t deal with such a complex character! Keep doing your work it is great 👍🏼

I wonder how the story would have been different if Rey had taken Kylo Ren's hand when he revealed that she was a Palpatine?

How Kylo Ren got Vader's burnt helmet ? In the ST it works like an item used by Palp to chanell his evil influence to Kylo. Maybe the Sith loyalists stole it from the funeral pyre before it was completely destroyed and took it to Exegol.

I can only find part of the interview, not the rest of what you said. Do you have the full interview where he says the part about "immediately regretting it?" Every interview I look for doesn't include the last paragraph.

Hans Solo did not die, he was critically wounded. He was caught by a droid when he fell and taken to a medical facility and survived. I'm not a writer but they should have me as a consultant! lol. Hans Solo lives! To the great disappointment of the ingrate Harrison Ford.

You put a lot of projective interpretation into the lamest and most comedic death scene ever. Thank you.

Ben should have killed his father as the story demands, but there are a hundred good reasons why people laughed when seeing it happen in the theater for the first time.
