I have had the original 4k box for about 2 years. It has worked great. Since the PRO has the same GPU, it comes down to needing the increased storage. As far as the Ethernet port goes, buy a USB hub with a gig Ethernet port and hook it up via a OTG cable, all for about $17. As always, it all depends on your intended usage. If all you need is a box to stream, then the original will work just fine.

I switched 5 Firesticks for Onn boxes a year ago. They have been fine. Not “quite” as good but they are not cramming all the nonstop ads right in your face like Amazon. I can also use and customize the Wolf launcher just the way I like. Love em…best streaming value out there.

I bought 6 of the $19.99 boxes March 3rd (configured 4 of them, kept 2 for spare) and I mostly love the units. Haven't used any Firesticks since then. My only real complaints with the unit is that the remote is a bit sluggish as well as taking some times a few tries to get the power to fire up the TV. i have external thumb drive with most apps on them and all works real well. I'm planning to return the 2 un opened units I have and get one of the new boxes tonight if my local Walmart has one in stock.

Doc, SUPER I have gotten 5 of the 4k Onn n they are fabulous. 3 of them I've gifted, 1 is in my guest bedroom the other is my travel box. I will now gift the 4K Onn n have Onn4k Pro as my travel box. Ans as soon as my present amazon devices no longer allow 3rd party apps, I'll replace ea..& every 1 of them w/the Pro.

I am in the UK and imported my ONN 4K box via Amazon global shipping at a cost of £35. Due to Amazon doing away with certain apps and also not allowing local ADB connections, I decided to give this streaming box a try, it has all the features you would expect of an Android box apart from the fact that you cannot turn off the screensaver and have to use an ADB command in order to do that.

I normally use a 2nd generation Firecube and have to admit that it is slightly faster and is still quite slick overall. The ONN 4k Pro looks, on the face of it like it could finally outdo the Firecube and when it eventually becomes fully available I will consider changing over.

For the money, the ONN 4K is a good deal even if you have to pay shipping costs.

Wow, and I just bought an Onn 4K box 2 days ago lol. Oh well, it's fine for what I'm using it for. The Pro will surely be the new go-to streamer if the price is right. Wish they would have made it an even 4GB of RAM though, but at least someone finally put a fair amount of storage in one of these.

I've had the ONN 4K Google streamer for quite some time. Clearly a great value at $20 and frees you up from the Amazon Fire handcuffs. The Android settings flexibility is a great departure from Fire which I had been committed to for many years. I would definitely be buying an ONN Pro when available.

I have two versions of the Onn TV boxes at home, the original Android TV one, which later was updated to Google TV, and the later native Google TV one. Both work great, especially after expanding their internal storage via a USB OTG cable and then attaching a USB stick that becomes the added internal storage. My only gripe is, with one of them, the remote seems to have a very funky on-off button, except when close to the device.
