I got mine this morning, it prompted me for a system update while setting it up, I loaded up all my apps, including 3rd party, made sure all apps in the play store are up to date, enabled developer options, changed the animation scaling, and I have been putting it through the paces all day. It runs quick, smooth, not getting any lag as others mentioned. I compared it side by side with my chromecast 4k and this onn 4k pro is slightly quicker in opening apps and its response. Oh, the remote I received is the black one with no backlight, fine by me as it is just like the remote with my first onn 4k box. 4GB limit with fat32 is no issue because this 4k pro recognize drives in Exfat format. You mentioned the benchmark test with the 2021 onn 4k, it came with android 10 and you had to run adb commands to add external storage. About 6 months ago, the 2021 4k box did a system update and is now running android 12 and it included in the update to add a usb flash drive or a hard drive as internal shared storage. So far from what I have experienced with this new onn 4k pro, it is a great streaming box with the features many of us have been wanting for years, all for $50.00

For those having the Netflix issue it’s really not an issue. Go into the Display and Sound options and change the dynamic range option from Dolby Vision to HDR or SDR then launch Netflix. Other color options are unlocked when you choose HDR for example you then have the option to choose between 4:4:4 8 bit color and 4:2:2 12 bit color .

I got the 4k pro onn box, it works smoothly, picture is little better, plus 32 storage, plus has button on box to find ur remote, , plus has hey google very good box .i fully loaded my box and its great.

On the flip side, I'm not upgrading from the 905Y to the 905 so it doesn't matter. A lot of these negatives you're pointing out. It's not negatives. I have one and it's amazing. Everyone I know that has one loves it. No bad reviews

I'l add another: USB port power control. On other streamers you have the option of powering down the USB port at power off so that an LED light strip goes out? The ONN 4K doesn't have this option. Always on. Not a major flaw. But....

I have this device. The best $50 I ever spent. Did a comparison up against my latest cube. Sound was better on my Sonos sound system, and picture quality also better. No problem on Netflix. Dolby Amos working fine. Mine came with remote B.

Mine came with the non backlit remote. That backlit remote looks like a test prototype that accidentally got thrown into some boxes. The device also supports exFAT. You got bad info on that one. Not great for people who already have their files on NTFS drives but if they really want to play large files directly on the device they can.

I purchased 2. Ran one for a few days and gave the other one away . Nothing special to me . I have always had devices like the Ugoos and Shield so this is nothing special to me . I guess folks with firersticks, cubes, chromecast, etc will be impressed. Thanks for the review .

I received the newest version purchased mine from Walmart in Phoenix AZ So far it’s working fine I installed Kodi working fine it’s impressive I would say it’s close to my Nvidia shield pro

Great video, but the 4 gig file size is incorrect. At least on my box. I have movies that are 7, 9, and even 11GB on memory stick, And it plays them well.

I have remote control B and I just purchased the 4k Pro ($50). It’s working great I just don’t like the fact I can’t use my mini keyboard (Bluetooth)
