Supercharge Star Button on Walmart Onn 4K Pro Remote - Also Works on Most Android TV Boxes

The new Walmart Onn 4K Pro Streaming Device includes a star button that can launch favorite apps. Unfortunately, it doesn't work with 3rd party launchers.

I'm using Emoten launcher and it works like a charm on the star button without anything. No other apps or anything

Very cool. I will probably buy this app. For now I am using the free version of Buttons Remapper. The free version lets me program only two buttons. I primarily use it to program the super sensitive Netflix button on my NVIDIA Shield remote so that it does nothing when accidentally touched. I never use Netflix. It can be highly frustrating and disruptive when the Netflix app launches while I'm trying to stream a show on a different app.

Note: I didn't test all launchers with the star button. Some of them may support it but not all of them.

Can you create shortcuts to actual TV controls? For example there is only one power button. It is used to turn on my Samsung TV. I need another power button to turn on my Visio sound bar.

How does tv quick actions compare to Button Mapper? I was able to enable a third party launcher on an ONN stick without using launcher manager using Button Mapper. I haven't opened this newest ONN device yet.

Sure wish they'd allow for a RESTART option on this button or on remote - I find that some apps cause other apps to lock up and find restsart to fix...

Has anyone been able to connect an Air mouse or keyboard with a usb dongle on their Onn 4 k pro? Mine connects to the external hard drive but won't recognize any of my keyboards or air mouse. They all work fine on the Fire Stick.

I wish there was a way to do this with that stupid huge Netflix button on the newer Nvidia Shield TV remote!! I HATE this button bc it always gets pressed accidentally typically when im in the middle of watching a movie/show! I’d like to ask whoever designed this what they were smoking lol

Is there an app that will put an icon on my custom launcher screen that will take me to the default Google Home screen so you don't have to go into Launcher Manager and disable the custom launcher every time you want to get back to the default Google Home screen?
