Nice comparison Doc. I think when you look at a device that sells for 25% of the price of a Shield, you have to give up something. Of course when someone spends $200 on a device they're going to dig in their heels and always claim there's nothing like it. A lot is about a person's budget and whether or not they're a gamer.

I have the shield 17 and 19 Pro and I love them my go-to boxes. But I also enjoy these onn boxes as well but I like to fiddle with all of that stuff I have so many different boxes and each one offers something

Hi great video. I have an Nvidia Shield 2017. But unfortunately, my shield device doesn't have AI UPSCALLING like the newer model. Is there any other box that has AI UPSCALLING? I heard that fire stick cube 3 might have it. Is that correct? The new Nvidia Shield is expensive and I don't know if it is worth purchasing it just because of the AI UPSCALLING. What do you think? I wonder if it will upscale videos we play using alternative apps (not YouTube, Netflix, etc)? Cheers

Great video TDUK, I have the shield pro and it’s reliable even without software updates. Daily driver now is Formula Z11 pro. We have to remember the cost of the ONN rises somewhat if buying in the UK

I have 2 onn 4k pro i was so hype how they were better then any of my new firesticks then i went for the pro shield and its way ahead of the sticks and onn pro box

These onn 4k pro boxes look good, but unfortunately in uk resellers are asking near on £100 for 1, I purchased a shield pro a few months back for main room .
But looking for something for kids room to replace there fire devices.
But there’s no way I’m paying double the retail price, I might as well just buy 2 pre Owned shields at that price .
It is a shame that there not available in uk without being ripped off .
It’s good to see that they handle big bit rate files .

I like the way you say it gets a pretty poor 412 gig !!! If I manage to reach 40 gig on my cube I'm skipping round the room
The thing is even with speeds usually in the thirties I rarely have any problems in streaming anything

Shield is better of course but is it 4 times better? No box will beat the shield until they up the specs. You could buy a chrome book with the right specs for 200 or so and have a computer and a tv box just like the shield is a gaming console and tv box.

recently upgraded from 55° lcd to 77° oled and just bought the shield pro 2019 even though it' s old. I also have a rd account already and just wanted to continue my pirate jouney without problems and all the codes I'll need for flawless streaming. If a newer shield gets released, so be it.. hopefully it gets some new fancy ai stuff. Anyone got tipps to limit judder and ringing? Even when I set the hz to 23/24 it keeps happening and sometimes really bad... I have to turn on the motion feature but I despise the soap opera effect of it...
I tested it with avengers, the ~60-70gb one and it was really really bad... the cinema motion setting on the tv didnt do shit and only from 7 of 10 it disappeared but the soap opera was strong. btw I tested it with a connection from my pc. the shield will arrive in a few days.

Hey doc, question i have a year old cube my dl wifi speed on it is not even half of the 1 tb that i get on my phone, bottom line im done with the fire devices going for the onn pro box. The ads just all the garbage Amazon has been doing is tiresome. Take care !
