Coming from an electrical background, it’s cool seeing the waves on the top of the music note. Getting a perfect 90 degree angle without those waves takes a lot of Fourier components that aren’t usually practical or necessary for a project.

The Fourier series is also the foundation of additive synthesis in sound design. The occupations of the points can be interpreted as pure sine waves added together to create more complex wave shapes.

Fun fact. If you ever try to render an entire animated ocean in 3D videogames, like in sea of thieves. Fourier series is the way to go in order to do it as efficiently as possible.
