This game should not be compared to total war or Northguard. Those games play completely different

This review fails to take into account that this older style of play is exactly what fans of this series are looking for. We play Stronghold to scratch a certain itch that doesn't need to be changed with the times or innovated into something new.

The positive and negative reinforcement has been there since the first game, they are not new dude...

It's absolutely crazy how Firefly don't fully draw from the iconic, exciting strengths of the first Stronghold and then build from there. By now they could've had tons of dynamic implementations/in-game options. The gameplay looks like it has devolved. Weird. All what you can do/all what is present in the first Stronghold should be a baseline from which to work from. Not simply disregarded and replaced.
