I played so much stronghold as a kid and have kind of kept up with it through the years, liked them all except kingdoms so I'll probably give this a try

Like @Warlund, I played a lot of the original Stronghold in my youth too. Two things turned me off this game. One, the constant attacking by foes. Two, I wished there were more economic/trade options. Take care,
