Ed wrote and dedicated this song to his friend and mentor Michael Gudinski who unexpectedly died in March, a legendary Australian record label founder and music producer, Ed has always said he was like a father figure to him. He performed at Michael’s State funeral in Melbourne and afterward wrote this song. A beautiful song and tribute to his friend.

Reading these comments hurts. As someone who lost her dad at 13, hits hard. I'm still 13, and it happened 5 days ago and it feels like forever. It happened such an unexpected time. Knowing he won't see me graduate or accomplish the things we planned together hurts me the most:(( Knowing that one day when i marry, he won't be there to walk down the aisle with me. Knowing that one day I'll have my own kids that won't meet their grandpa hurts me. I miss you so much dad.
