I have this exact car. 2022 Corolla Cross LE. Mine is red. I absolutely LOVE it! Best mileage I’ve ever had in any car I’ve ever owned. Not to mention it’s an absolute beast in the snow!

It's because of the popularity of crossovers/SUVs like this, that manufacturers won't offer wagons in the United States. Toyota offers a Corolla wagon in some European and Asian countries, but not in the United States

Because this is the LE (bottom trim) it does not have dual zone, heated seats, heated steering wheel or wiper de-ice. They do this to reduce he cost of the vehicle. Toyota is one of the only auto manufactures that doesn't offer heated cloth seats. They limit it to only leather seats

Did you forget to mention the launch gear concept of this transmission? I think it is the best idea and will extend the life of the transmission.

It looks like a Rav4, but slightly smaller and cheaper. It's about the same size as a 3rd gen Rav4 and bigger than the first two Rav4s. I don't really see the point of this compared to the Rav4 but it's fine. I see these everywhere and it looks good. If you have to have a compact crossover it's better than a Ford Escape or Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross.
A Corolla wagon wouldn't sell any more. Stretch it vertically, give it some cladding and big wheels, and they can't keep them on the dealership lot.

These cars have a really interesting take on a CVT. It has a traditional first gear for launching from a stop, and then it shifts over into the CVT band afterwards. Good way to take some of the drone away from acceleration.

This LE trim is a lot better than the RAV4 LE

Totally agree with you on the naming topic... At its base that Corolla SUV thingy, is still a Corolla with mostly the same original purpose of a Corolla, just kinda updated to todays automotive trends... Also seems like it was half ripped off from Mazda at its front... But this is an issue with some cars... Like the awful new-gen Trailblazer which has nothing to do with the original car even in its essence... Or going back to GM, the Blazer is also kind of non-original related car model with a misleading name... The new Mitsu Eclipse is a horrible naming decision... Or the after 2016ish Suzuki Vitara, which is just... Ughhh nothing to do with the original awesome Vitara...

Folks, If you waited this long to buy a Corolla Cross, wait a little longer for the Hybrid which will improve it in every way. Better yet, get in line for a RAV4 Hybrid.

Is it really an SUV version of a Corolla, or is it closer to a step-down version of a RAV4?

Toyota LOVES to introduce SUVs/CUVs in every possible space in the market (Corolla cross, venza, c-hr, RAV4, 4runner, Highlander, Sequoia (insert Lexus as appropriate)). As a sedan/hatchback/wagon fanatic, I feel unseen by Toyota. TRD Camry is so strange, and GRCorolla is unobtainable as far as I know.

Prices between the LE & XLE corolla cross are too close with the Rav4 LE & XLE. Better off just getting a RAV 4 since that LE corolla Cross doesn’t have AWD standard, or a JBL sound system thats a upgraded package just like that sunroof & that wireless charger, most ppl get there cars as base as they come. That Corolla cross with that package is right at $27k before delivery fees ($28k total) mind as well get a Rav 4 XLE or a fully loaded corolla cross XLE lol
