Exactly why I sold my month old open box 5800x3D and jumped to AM5 (Jan 2024) 7600x $199 because prices on boards $133 x670, ram $110 cl30 6000mt and CPU’s were far more affordable. And new teething issues were solved. Last I knew the 3D 9000 was likely going to be another year so I jumped to AM5 and didn’t wait for 9000 3D.

I was hoping the 'differentiators' they were talking about might have been a few extra Zen 5c cores compared to the regular SKU - an 8C 3D chiplet and 16C 5c chiplet, for example...

Hopefully they fixed the issue of the 7950X3D where apps would use the wrong CCD even if you specified it manually.

Bought a huge High-end system nearly a year ago with a 7800x3d and a 4090. I swear if the 9800x3D is a huge leap above thanks to basically 'x3D 2.0'. Im gonna cry.
