I actually have as part of my collection a 1925 Gillespie, and a 1939 Renee (I think I've got the dates right). I also have about a 1959 Thomas Guide, marked up by Caltrans district 7 with the routes of future freeways. One of these days I'll have to get down there. They've been invaluable for my site, cahighways.org

Question: On the Thomas Guide zoning edition from 1946 did I see a subway entrance? There was a subway in LA in 1946?
