In 2009 the brothers John and Josh were exploring the Nutty Putty Cave in Utah. An hour into their exploration, John ventured into the dreaded Birth Canal, where escape seemed impossible. The passage squeezed him so tightly that he dangled upside down, gasping for breath, utterly immobilized. For an agonizing 27 hours, 137 rescuers fought tirelessly, yet not a single one could wrench him from that relentless grip, the cave was sealed forever as a memory of John horrifying story.

The nutty putty cave incident is truly terrible. Such an extended and painful death for this man, and so difficult for his family and the rescuers with him at the time. Very unfortunate incident.

Also for people who dont know how he died: After staying upside down for 25 hours all blood got in his brain and its painful if anyone experienced after 25 hours he died because blood didnt go to his body.

He didn’t die in the birth canal- He took a wrong turn and died in a much much thinner area that was nearly impossible to get in or out of.

The people who think that this isn't painful. Think about starving and not being able to see light. Being squeezed by rocks, and also upside down with a hard rock pressing against your head(i can feel that pain bro😭). Not being able to move or breathe freely

It wasn’t the Birth Canal he died in, it was another one(unknown)that he mistakenly went to which lead to him being upside down.

Well it was mostly his fault even though the death is sad his death is mostly his fault he was not a good caver and he only went calving at the nutty putty cave once when he was younger he didn't even get a map and he what to a part of the cave that was meant for experience cave divers o since he didn't have a map he relied on an old memory which is a very bad decision and he took a wrong turn which got him to the uncharted part of nutty putty cave which is what inevitably got stuck

I mean it's probably not the worst one, I mean there was a one where some dude was stuck in a narrow cave for like a week, and bro was a TOURIST ATTRACTION.
Like imagine being stuck in a cave and just knowing that your a literal tourist attraction.

Caving is an amazing experience I d recommend, but go with a team of experienced cavers who’ve already done the route and know the safe, exit points etc be safe, have fun !!
