Factoring Quadratics - When my factors don’t add up to b!

Have you tried factoring a quadratic and no matter how hard you try your factors of a and c don’t add up to b? That doesn’t mean you’re doing it wrong 😀

I have a problem, “ 28n^4 + 16n^3 - 80n^2 “. I can’t possibly find a factor that adds up to 16, but when I search it up I find 7 x 2 ? As far as my knowledge goes, 7 + (-)2 = 5 and not 16. I can’t understand how I could possibly solve this
