I might not be the smartest out there, but if they're called smart splitters, they must be, right?

I recently got satisfactory and absolutely fell in love with it! It is so cool to see a senior gamer not only enjoying it the game as well but helping the community to enjoy it more themselves! Have a blessed day!

I use smart splitters a lot but I forget how many different problems they can solve. Thanks for the reminder!

I just found this channel, watched 2 shorts, and subscribed. This is exactly the tips that I like, especially for games like satisfactory. Thanks!

do not EVER use "ANY UNDEFINED" for the secondary. if the defined output backs up, it will block the secondary output with the defined item. instead use OVERFLOW. this will allow all items through only once the other (defined)options are exhausted.

I've tried using a single mark 6 belt for entire factories lately with great success. So long as the total throuput needed doesn't exceed 1200 without you catching it, you can just run one belt through your base and use smart splitters and mergers to pull resources and parts off, run them through a constructor or assembler, then merge them back onto the belt. You can use overflows that go from the splitter to the merger to bypass that entire line of production buildings if they get backed up. Judicious use of storage container buffers also help, as do sinks anywhere along a line where a part may no longer be needed further down the line.

Having a senor helping us in the game is the best ! continue like that good sir !

Also a GREAT method for adding a quantum box to a line. Set it to fill the quantum box, and continue the line with overflow, takes a little longer on start up, but is SO worth it.

Every single output i have: smart splitter overflowing in a sink, , industrial storage, dimentional depot

Not needed for everything but its nice.

And a good backup overflow in case refineries cant dump their polymer resin, and stop making heavy oil residue, although i have a smart splitter to just before rubber and plastic storage

Honestly, the smart splitter>overflow>awesome sink is a must for all of my factories. Same with the new dimensional storage. Its the best way to get coupons. Sometimes I leave my game running overnight just to generate more of them. So god damn useful.

"Seriously, who does that?!"

Me, because Smart Splitters exist lmao

One of my favourite things to do with them is set up sorting systems. I set up a sushi belt that feeds into a Smart Splitter manifold that sends items to where they need to go. The last Smart Splitter in the manifold feeds into an AWESOME Sink for overflow protection.

Smart Splitters are brilliant.

I love the extra challenge of balancing my factory perfectly, so all I use smart splitters for is when my storage for a certain item is full. That way my power use is always exactly my maximum consumption, which I find very satisfying

Played for 3 days and youre awsome my guy. Love you.

I've found sushi storage to be very useful for train cars with factories that produce a ton of different low-throughput items. So long as the factory can't fill an entire train per trip, it works fine with no clogs and reduces the total number of train cars you need to make room for. Simply put a smart splitter manifold at the other end with a storage unit for each item and dump the overflow into an AWESOME sink. Easy.

You're a great channel for logistics tips in Satisfactory.

Sending overflow to the sink is really handy for keeping the factory at max production capacity so you can track how much raw material you're using
