I've tried all the different fasting schedules, for me, OMAD has been the most effective one.
For weight loss, for health, for general well being.
At the moment, I'm doing carnivore OMAD... results are amazing!

Coffee is fine. At the beginning of 2023 I discovered the 36 hr fast. I drank coffee and water with a pinch of salt like a madman. After 4 months I had lost 39lbs. And that was with flexibility, not fasting on vacation or when there was a gathering. It was such an amazing experience.

As a long haul truck driver, I'm rolling around 4000 miles a week eating is never the same time of day, I'm carnivore, and I eat once a day. Outside of my coffee I'm close to a lion diet.

I personally thank Dr. Berg, Dr. Mindy and Dr. Boz for introducing me to OMAD, intermittent fasting, prolong fasting and it's many benefits. I am now free of prediabetic, Alzheimer's and weight problem without having to depend on doctors, dietitian and personal health and fitness trainer. All power to you, the YouTuber who made this video who said and I quote, "I would never do OMAD" as for me, I would never give up on OMAD. I can personally say that OMAD save my life and a lot of medical fees.

Don't force the fast is the best advice. Whether you're new or a veteran, you need to listen to your body. When you're new, you often need to take your time easing into longer fasts. Your body needs to get used to what you're putting through it, and you will see that you can comfortably go longer each time. As a veteran, sometimes it's just not a good time for it as Cynthia says. I'm a veteran faster now working into longer dry fasts. I was about 40 hours into a 72 hour fast a few weeks ago and I was just not handling it well. I broke my fast early and tried again the next week with much better results.

I am a 55 years old woman, and I eat only a meal a day. I feel very good, and people tell me I look 10 years younger.

Very good interview and I really like how you ask a question and then KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT while your guest is talking. So refreshing! Thumbs up. Subscribed.

As far as the sugar thing goes I do not put anything sweet on my tongue. Since kicking my sugar addiction to the curb I no longer crave alcohol and believe that my alcohol addiction was tied to my sugar addiction. You must have sugar to make alcohol which makes alcohol a sugar byproduct.

As many of us have I've listened to several of the known experts on the subject of intermittent fasting and in my opinion this lady is the best for a whole host of reasons. She's a very pleasant listen and as others have noted great job by the host asking the pertinent questions and then not stepping on the words of the guest.

I do OMAD but it happened naturally when I started eating a ketogenic diet. I've never been a breakfast eater and I get hungriest around lunch time. I would eat lunch, as much as I wanted until I was sated. I thought it was strange that I wasn't getting hungry around dinner time as I had in the past. I just went with it and here I am and I feel great.

There's another aspect to fasting that I've experienced several times during longer fast periods of 9 days plus, (although it also happened on my first 5 day fast as well).
And that is a more acute spiritual and sub-conscious awareness. In fasted states, I've accessed deep deep deep into my background psyche. Far more revealing than in general meditation.

Great talk. 68 year old very fit man. Started IF because I noticed when I stopped eating for 16 hours any pain was gone. I do like to start my day with an MCT and almond milk coffee with no bad affects. Can do long intense cycling of 40-60 miles and then eat. Based on this conversation and others going to shift why feeding window to earlier and see if sleep improves. Thanks for good info that I feel is well corroborated by others I pay attention to!

Doesn’t anyone now just use how they feel rather than tests, continuous monitors etc, anymore. Why are people so removed from their own bodies?

I do OMAD, but I feel amazing.

I've tried 2MAD, and it didnt increase how much i was eating... It just split what I was eating into two meals... And it made me sleepy.

I had gestational diabetes during 4 of my 6 pregnancies. Crazy part is my dietitian said I was the smallest patient she ever had ... I gave birth to my 7 pound daughter and weighed only 108 lbs the day of her birth at 39 weeks (I was induced because of my diabetes). I'm now 45 and 105 lbs ... and considered pre-diabetic because of my family history and pregnancy. I just ordered this book! 😊 I'm a clean eater but addicted to my morning and afternoon coffee ☕️
