PS4 Controller Don't Continue Charging

Facing the same issue but now resolved.
Technician told me that due to over charging the conductive film is damaged and after the replacement of film my remote works fine.

For me, the only solution that actually worked was deleting all bluetooth dualshock 4 devices that have been synced through the bluetooth devices settings in Playstation while using a secondary working dualshock 4 controller. I had to go to Bluetooth devices using a secondary working dualshock 4 device. Then, I deleted all the connected dualshock 4 controllers, excluding the one being used. After that I held the malfunctioning dualshock 4 controller's ps plus share button (without a USB connection) until it was in sinc mode. Once in sinc mode, I waited until the dualshock 4 controller shows on the bluetooth devices list. Once it was shown on the bluetooth devices list, I used my functioning dualshock 4 controller to enter that enlisted dualshock, and I pressed the options (select button) connected it from there (wirelessly) and voila it worked. So, the whole issue for me was a system syncing error issue rather than a controller reseting issue. This happened due to the fact that the PS4 controller was connected to a different ps4 system, and after switching back to the previous ps4 console. Reseting the ds4 didn't work. Only removing the synced controller error and resinking it using a secondary controller worked for me. I hope Sony fixes this syncing error issue, especially for those who don't have a secondary ds4 controller.

If this solution didn't work, this means that the battery needs replacement.

Btw, I did all trial & error by myself after giving up on Youtube and Google solutions. It took me several days to find out that it was just a system issue rather than a dualshock issue.

I forgot to mention that if one doesn't have a second ds4 controller or the second ds4 controller isn't working, one could try using a keyboard (keyboard alternative definitely worked for me although it took a while to know which buttons to press other than exit, enter, and directions buttons), a mouse, a third party controller, a wired controller, or etc.

Also, to prevent this from ever happening in the first place, always disconnect your controller through the Playstation bluetooth setting every time you switch from one PS4 system to another PS4 system.

If you charged your controller with an adapter that has an output over 5 Volt and 1 Ampere, then the micro usb port gets damaged. Had the same issue, your controller doesn’t get 1 ampere because of the damaged micro USB port on the controller

It’s odd how we’re all having the same problem near the same time. Mine flashes blue then stops and dose the same orange colour whilst plugging in. I cleaned the charging port, I’ve tried different chargers, tried to reset it, tried pressing home+share, left it charging overnight for 4h, tried charging it connected to my ps4 box. I’ve done everything I could think of all I know is that last night it was working but was dying so I left it on charger, now it’s not working.

It is either fully charged or you need to change the charger

One it’s a problem or it’s fully charged.
But it’s it a problem you have to put your PS4 in safe by holding the power button for 10 seconds and plug in the usb cable and restart you PS4 using the menu and that should work. If that doesn’t work idk man maybe you need a new one

I have the same problem. But whenever this happens, my control won’t connect to my ps4 and I have to keep turning off and turning my ps4 back on in order for my control to connect. It’s actually happening right now to me. I’m trying to connect to my wifi and my control disconnected and it doesn’t want to reconnect

Same problem dude the controller is low bat and it doesnt charge the color fades did it work for you?

Hold your power botton on the ps4 until you hear 2 beeps then turn on the ps4 with the controller while connected with your charging cable it’s should work ‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️💯💯💯💯💯

That's a broke cxs port: so go grab a tooth pick or paperclip(preference is a papper clip) lift up the silver plate and if it blinks when you do it your good to go😊

Same thing mine or I would have it charging for a king on time but it would still say it needs to be charged or it will be at 1 bar it’s annoying I literally have it charging for hours anyone got a fix

It means that the battery is full and doesnt need to be charged anymore.

GUYS HAD THIS PROBLEM AND SOLVED IT TODAY!

basically controller showing yellow light when connected to charging means it is 100% charged and needs no more charging, this means battery is good no issue with it.

The problem is most probably with the ps button as it is the only way to get the controller on,
we can easily check which buttons are giving output or not by connecting our controller to pc or laptop via USB cable, then going into control panel and then find the devices area, there select the controller it should be shown . then click the check/test for authencity or something like that then it will have a grid and 14-16 button showing, any number will flash if a button is clicked, then check if ps button good or not,

mine was not so i had the buy a new circuit ribbon, i bought mine from amazon, all were too expensive but the one from seller 'SIL I TECH' was correct price and working. thank me later
