I bet someone can invent a kick ass post "pusher" using a similar mechanism.
The process can be reversed, so ratcheting will push down instead of pull it up.
The posts, can obviously be of greater size with thick pads so they cant sink only the post does. It basically jams the post into the ground. Instead of the typical jack hammer type method.
Then again, idk, if the ground is too hard it may just mushroom the tip and screw the whole thing up.
