With these roots, I have a couple that are “root over rock”. They give off a robust, gigantic tree look. Also…remember that when you prune these trees, they “bleed” a white, sticky sap. I have a paper towel with me to dab the sap. It helps stop the sap and heal the cut faster!

i prefer to re pot my tropical trees in the summer growing season. unless its a emergency re pot. thats a nice import ficus you have bonsai empire.. ficus was my first tree almost 10 years ago. its still growing strong too. thanks B.E happy bonsai'ing everyone!

should we just start pruning based on our imagination, fillings? Or should we follow the approach "start pruning from the lower branches and move branch-by-branch to the top, and only then decide what height we now expect to see: as we wanted or lower/higher"?
